Sahih Muslim Book 26, Hadith Number 5410.

Chapter : If a person goes away from the place occupied by him, he has a better right to occupy it after coming back.

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar through another chain of transmitters, but with a slight variation of wording.
