Sahih Muslim Book 7, Hadith Number 3067.

Chapter : It is obligatory to perform farewell circumambulation, while a menstruating woman i., exempted from it.

This Hadith is narrated by ‘Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) through another chain of transmitters, but no mention is made of “sad and downcast”.
