Sahih Muslim Book 7, Hadith Number 3038.

Chapter : It is meritorious for one who does intend to go himself to send the sacrificial animal to al-Haram.

Al-Qasim reported the Mother of the Faithful (Hadrat ‘Aisha Siddiqa) (Allah be pleased with her) as saying: I used to weave these garlands from the multicoloured wool which was with us. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was in the state of non Muhrim among us, and he would do all that was lawful for a lion-Muhrim with his wife.
