“Ya ‘ayyuhannasu ‘ittaqoo rabbakumu ‘allathee khalaqakum min nafsin wahidatin wa khalaqa minha zawjaha wa bath-tha minhuma rijalan katheeran wa nisa’an wattaqul-laha ‘allatheetasa’aloona bihi wal’arhama inna ‘allaha kana `alaykum raqeeban” (246).
“Ya ‘ayyuha ‘allatheena amanoo ‘ittaqul-laha haqqa tuqatihi wa la tamootunna ‘illa wa ‘antum muslimoona” (247).
“Ya ‘ayyuha ‘allatheena amanoo ‘ittaqul-laha wa qooloo qawlan sadeedan yuslih lakum ‘a`malakum wa yaghfir lakum thunoobakum wa may yuti`illaha wa rasoolahu faqad faza fawzan `atheeman” (248).
(246) O’ mankind! Fear your Lord Who created you from a single person, created, out of it, its mate, and from them twain scattered countless men and women;- Fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual [rights] and be heedful of the wombs: for Allah ever watches over you. [Surat ‘An-Nisa (#4) V. 1].
(247) O’ you who believe! fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam. [Surat ‘Ale-`Imran (#3) V. 102].
(248) O’ you who believe!fear Allah, and make your utterance straight forward. That He make your conduct whole and sound,and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and his Messenger, has attained a great victory. [Surat ‘Al-Ahzab (#33) V. 70, 71].
Reported by At-Tirmithi, Abu Dawood, An-Nisa’ee, and Ibn Majah. At-Tirmithi said it was comely-sound. Al-Albani said: No. It is sound. He said that it had four channels that were by way of Ibn Mas`ood, one of which was sound according to the conditions of Muslim. This hadeeth is #164 in The Authentic of Good Sayings.
