Abu Dawud Book 24, Hadith Number 3929.

Chapter : The view that a slave will not be required to work for purchasing his freedom.

Narated By N/A : ‘Abd Allah b. ‘Umar reported the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) as saying: If anyone emancipates his share in a slave, a fair price for the slave should be fixed, give his partners their shares, and the slave be thus emancipated otherwise. he is emancipated to the extent of the share which he emancipated.
