Abu Dawud Book 9, Hadith Number 2795.
Chapter : On the age of the sacrificial animal.
Narated By Al-Bara’ ibn Azib : A maternal uncle of mine called Abu Burdah sacrificed before the prayer (for ‘Id). The Apostle of Allah (PBUH) said: Your goat is meant for flesh. He said: Apostle of Allah, I have a domestic kid with me. He said: Sacrifice it, but it is not valid for any man other than you.
