Abu Dawud Book 3, Hadith Number 1624.
Chapter : Not known.
Narated By AbuSa’id al-Khudri : The Prophet (PBUH) said: If anyone begs when he has something equivalent to an uqiyah in value, he has begged immoderately. So I said: My she-camel, Yaqutah, is better than an uqiyah. The version of Hisham goes: “better than forty dirhams. So I returned and did not beg anything from him.” Hisham added in his version: “An uqiyah during the time of the Apostle of Allah (PBUH) was equivalent to forty dirhams.”
