Abu Dawud Book 2, Hadith Number 1218.
Chapter : To offer supererogatory prayer while travelling.
Narated By Al-Bara’ ibn Azib : I accompanied the Apostle of Allah (PBUH) on eighteen journeys and I never saw him fail to pray two rak’ahs when the sun had passed the meridian before offering the noon prayer.
